Please don't make this mistake.

One of the most common errors that people make when trying to lose weight is underreporting or completely forgetting food/drink on their food intake. If you’re going to keep a food diary or log your food on a calorie-counting app (i.e MyFitnesspal or Fat Secret), it's best to get into the mindset that all food has calories and that EVERYTHING counts.

Here are just a few examples that might bypass your sheet/brain when tracking or logging in your food diary.

  • Orange juice with breakfast.

  • A cup of midmorning coffee.

  • A handful of chocolates which are handed around the office.

  • A piece of fruit.

  • A large glass of wine to wind down in an evening.

When tracked, we can see that these amount to almost 700 calories. That could be a HUGE portion of your daily allowance if you're trying to lose weight.
